WHAT IS THE PTO?
 
 
Welcome to the PTO!  We are proud to have an active and dynamic PTO, where every parent, guardian, and teacher at PS 282 is a member.  Together, we are able to foster a strong, supportive school community and an enriching educational experience for our children. 

Join us for the first PTO meeting of the year on Thursday, 9/19 at 6 PM, available both in-person and virtually. Childcare and refreshments will be provided. We encourage at least one family member to attend. Your participation is crucial—this is your school, and we need your support! 


 

WHAT WE DO
 
 
The PTO's mission is to: 

  • Build community: foster a welcoming and inclusive environment where all families feel valued and connected.

  • Enhance communication: strengthen the bond between families, teachers, and school administration through clear and open communication.

​

  • Raise funds: generate financial support to provide a diverse range of resources and educational programs that enrich the learning experience of our children.
