PS 282 hosts after school programs that operate independently from the school and the PTO by using the school venue to offer a diverse menu of programming options for families. There is a seamless transition between the regular school day and the pick up to move to the after school program of choice.

Some programs are offered on site and others remotely. After School programs typically start on the first full week of school. Your relationship with your after school provider is separate from your relationship with the school and its teachers. You should communicate any needs specific to your child to both your teacher and the after school provider.

If your child is part of an afterschool program off-site you should agree where/when they will collect your child from and where you should pick them up, directly with the program.
