Here are some things to know...
CLICK HERE TO REGISTER FOR A TOUR!
This is the best way to learn more about the school to determine if 282 is right for you. Reach out to the PTO Head of Outreach for additional info here.
Once you have toured and request 282 as your school of choice, you will receive a letter letting you know details about school placement. If you are on the waiting list for 282 and this is your top school of choice, email Parent Coordinator, Ms. Collie-Cyrus to determine how you can gain entry to the school, if possible.
Once you have been confirmed for a seat at PS282, congratulations!! Next, await further information from the School Administration Team with details about class placement and first day.
The PTO typically hosts summer meet ups and other meet and greets for parents as you transition into 282. If you are transitioning to a public school environment for the first time, be prepared for a different experience. Public Schools work with the oversight of the DOE and will sometimes take time to respond to inquiries. Teacher assignments are usually given only one week in advance of school starting.
